Our journey began with a simple mission: to honor the heritage of our land while building a future rooted in sustainability and quality.
The Società Agricola Terre Etrusche in Castiglione della Pescaia Srl is located in Pian di Rocca, in the municipality of Castiglione della Pescaia, Grosseto, just inland from the Roccamare coastline.
This area has a history dating back to the Etruscan and Roman periods, as proven by archaeological finds preserved in local museums. Some of the earliest settlements were discovered within our very own land, in Val Berretta, where numerous artifacts have been unearthed.
Our groves sit at around 40 meters above sea level, protected by the Poggio Ballone ridge (150 m a.s.l.), which shields them from sea influences and creates a unique microclimate, ideal for agriculture. Pian di Rocca has long been renowned for its horticultural activity, thanks to these exceptional conditions.
Today, we cultivate about 10 hectares of traditional olive groves, composed of the typical varieties of the Tuscan IGP blend. The mixed groves have recently been thickened, while preserving the traditional planting layouts, balancing heritage with future growth.
